Campion is one of the Department for Education’s registered suppliers of financial health and
efficiency services to schools, academies and MATS, and we regularly offer support to Trusts who
have successfully bid for the Government’s MDIF.

MDIF grants may be awarded to Trusts intending to expand their Academy Trust and its
organisational structures, with a particular focus on improvement and raising attainment for pupils.
Grants made to successful bidders usually range from between £50,000 and £100,000, and can be
used towards expansions plans, improvements to reporting and monitoring pupil performance,
continuous professional development or pay for staff working across the Trust, or for external
advice.

Release of grant funding is generally subject to an independent review of efficiencies within the
Trust, including its application of Integrated Curriculum and Financial Planning (ICFP). Campion is
experienced in delivering independent reviews within the context of the MDIF and has successfully
supported Trusts in meeting the criteria for release of grant funding.
