The National School Apprenticeships, have launched the ‘One by 2020’ campaign which aims to encourage every school in England to employ an apprentice by the year 2020.
They are asking schools to commit by creating at least one apprenticeship vacancy in every school. The plan is to create a groundswell of apprenticeship opportunities nationally for school leavers to apply for.
In 2014-2015 over 3000 schools joined the National School Apprenticeship programme (NSA) to recruit an apprentice and train the next generation of school support staff. They offer a range of apprenticeships in schools such as site managers, caretakers, teaching assistants to business administration.
A range of vacancies can be found on their website
