On Friday 8th March for International Women’s Day we received a very special visit from the Duchess of Sussex.

It was an amazing and inspiring day for all the young people at Robert Clack School.

We are thrilled and overwhelmed by the positive and heartwarming responses we have received.

I would like to mention in particular three outstanding students.

Renee Palmer-Davies and Rhyanna Williams gave a speech on the Dagenham Ford strikes, and the consequent Equal Pay Act.

Olivia Collins gave a speech about her school experience and the impact on her confidence.

On a personal note, coordinating and working with the local police, the canine unit and the Royal Protection agents enabled me to gain an interesting insight into what goes into a Royal visit.

I have added another string to my bow !

The staff who took part in the organisation and especially the students deserve a heart felt congratulations for the part they played in this visit, without our amazing Robert clack School community this would not have been possible.
