Get Creative with Campions Art Competition for Schools, Winners Announced!

Jul 3, 2023 | Recruitment Posts

Back in March we launched our Get Creative with Campions art competition for schools, to help raise funds and awareness of a wonderful charity based in India called Wildlife SOS (WSOS – UK registered charity 1126511).

Wildlife SOS (WSOS), since 1995, have been doing incredible work protecting India’s natural heritage, forests and biodiversity, as well as protecting endangered wild elephant populations and rescuing elephants from lives in tourism.

The competition closed last week and we received some incredible entries.

Winners announced

This week the team spent some time going through the competition entries and choosing the winning artworks.  With so many amazingly creative drawings, paintings and 3D works, this wasn’t an easy task!

So much time and effort has gone into creating some very special elephants and we are so pleased to announce our winning top three, as well as some special mentions for incredible effort.

First Prize

⭐ First Prize: Alice Azzaro, Year 4, Our Lady and St Joseph Primary School – Hackney

A huge congratulations to Alice Azzaro, Year 4, of Our Lady’s & St Joseph’s primary school for winning first prize – a £500 donation to Wildlife SOS on behalf of your school and a Wildlife SOS elephant toy and art materials hamper!  You will also be taking part in a special Q&A with WSOS UK Manager Debbie Haynes, including a Zoom link call to Wildlife SOS’s elephant sanctuary in India (weather and time difference depending) to link to the elephants, where pupils can learn more about these amazing animals and the work of WSOS.

The whole team loved this 3D origami piece and we felt it conveyed the important message of why we need to look after our elephants and why Wildlife SOS do the work that they do!
